Greg Mundy – Drums/Percussion/Vocals

In day to day life, Greg Mundy is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet but behind the drum kit, GREG MUNDY IS A BEAST. He is a human metronome, a drummer who straddles the fine balance between dependable rock solidness and dangerous finesse.

Greg honed his drumming skills by performing in a number of well known Adelaide bands since 1964.

His personal drumming repertoire spans a wide range of styles, types and genres of music including…

  • Marching band
  • Concert/Brass band
  • Jazz
  • Cabaret
  • European dance
  • Dinner dance
  • Commercial covers
  • Original bands
  • Musical theatre
  • Country (just to top things off)

Greg was in popular band Wallstreet (which then evolved into The Streets), Empty Vessels (an original band that people still talk about), Blackbyrd, a Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute Show, and many more.

Greg was instrumental (pardon the pun) in the initial formation of the band as he is a long time friend of The Ides Of March founder Sandy Mathewson.

Greg and Sandy made it their mission to patiently gather like minded musicians for “The Ides.”

It took a fair while to achieve but Greg now feels very strongly that there’s a real potential within The Ides Of March personnel and the music they all play.
